Debutante Program

The Richardson Symphony League Honor Guard program was established in 2002 by the Richardson Symphony League . The purpose of the program is to promote and contribute to the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and to stimulate in young men an interest in music, the arts, and community service. The Honor Guard year is filled with exciting events, including social and service activities, fundraisers, general meetings, and the opportunity to become friends with young men from other area high schools.

Service activities are an integral part of the Honor Guard program. Through participating in service projects, Honor Guard members are provided an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills. The Honor Guard members contribute to the success of the Richardson Symphony's concerts and competitions.  They take the arts into Richardson through participation in community activities such as Santa's Village. Membership is open to young men in grades nine through twelve whose sponsor is a Richardson Symphony League member in good standing. Boys must complete the required service hours in order to be presented, as well as pay a presentation fee.
